Starting in early 1990's I saw an opportunity in the paper currency markets for National Bank Notes. I started aggressively buying and trading National Bank Notes starting in 1992. At the same time I informed my clients about the scarcity and the growing demand I saw mounting.

Full Page Ads

I ran full page ads in the top numismatic periodicals foretelling the coming demand for these numismatic collectibles. Many of my clients and readers of the ads came to believe me and purchased the national bank notes I was recommending.

I continued as a buyer, seller and trader in National Bank Notes from 1994 until 2002 when I saw the market peak.

The period of 1992 until 2002 some of the national bank notes appreciated ten, one hundred and even a thousand times.

One of my record purchases is the Fort Mead National Bank Note $139, 500. It's rare collectibles such as this that will always grow in value.

Just prior to the National Bank Note peak, I began looking at gold again….World Gold Coins.

Why World Gold Coins Now?

The British Treasury had just completed its sale of gold and the price stood at $250-$270 an ounce. This was a low at the time and every indication seems to point to a move up in gold.

Since then I have been a steady purchaser of gold, but have also been an aggressive buyer of World Gold Coins. I firmly believe that World Gold Coins are the next big move in the numismatic world. World Gold Coins are at a price that is very low for the inherent values that will ensue.

U S Gold Coins sell for ten times an equivalent World Gold Coin. The World Gold Coins are far and fewer in comparison to US Gold Coins.

The declining value of the dollar makes these World Gold Coins even more interesting to be purchased at this time. The astute collector is in a position to take advantage of this disparity between scarcity and demand. At the present time there is not a great demand for World Gold Coins, but I can see the momentum gathering. It is becoming more difficult to acquire “bargains” on the US Gold Coin Market.

Attend Eliasberg Auction

I recently attended the Eliasberg Auction, in New York . It was evident that the majority of buyers were Americans. This was no surprise to me. I had been talking to dealers for months prior to the auction and knew that they were anticipating this event in order to add to their World Gold Coin inventories.

The surprises of the day were the prices paid for World Gold Coins by American Collectors, let alone dealers. Record prices were set in many categories and there were no “bargains” for dealers. I use quotation marks to emphasize the word “bargain”. When certain coins are in demand and the demand continues to increase, today's record price is really tomorrow's“bargain”.

I Purchased the General Rosas

While at the auction I was able to purchase many of the world gold coins I wanted for my collection. One of my great buys of the day was the world record Argentina General Rosas 8 Escudo.
